CIA is continually striving to add new products and services to enhance our ability to keep up with the world of ever changing technology in order to better serve our customers. One of these products is our Slip Resistance Testing (SRT) Program. Through SRT we can give our customers answers to questions like the ones above.

CIA utilizes the patented English XL Slip Resistance Tester which can accurately measure surface safeness in real world conditions. Testing can apply to floors, stairs, ramps and outdoor walkways, even when wet or contaminated with spills. We provide results, comments and recommendations in connection with surface safeness and liability exposure.

The English XL measures the static coefficient of friction (SCOF) of a particular surface, either dry, wet or in the presence of contaminants in order to determine the relative safeness of the surface in relation to the accepted standards adopted by ASTM, ANSI, UL and case law.
