with our Client Partners to identify potential issues and prepare specific
plans for immediate response. This partnering effort enables us to meet
our client's specific needs and expectations in the most timely, efficient
and cost-effective manner possible.
CIA takes great pride in the expertise and quality product produced by our
claims personnel. The Catastrophe Team is comprised of adjusters and managers
specifically selected for their catastrophe training, experience and qualifications.
Our adjusters are carefully screened, receiving a thorough background check and
periodic, random drug screenings. Reviews are conducted on CAT field personnel
with a test claim system to evaluate their experience and capabilities in work
product and coverage knowledge. These reviews then allow our CAT Team to establish
various levels of expertise to meet any of our Client Partner's specific requirements.
Our adjusters continue to be evaluated periodically to provide the highest level of
proficiency possible.
Additionally, CIA has a strategic preplanning process in place with our Client
Partners so that all field adjusters have correct policy information and handling
guidelines when claims are disbursed. This alleviates wasted time at a CAT location
by eliminating the need for training sessions before claims are inspected.
All members of our CAT Team are required to attend an annual multi-day training
seminar to receive the most up-to-date instruction and documentation unique to
catastrophic loss adjusting, as well as specific client instructions.
