Custard Announces Senior Vice President Promotions

Atlanta, GA - December 1, 2011 - Custard Insurance Adjusters, Inc. announced today three senior level executive promotions to the position of Senior Vice President.

Susan Meadows - SVP, Corporate Development.  Meadows joined CIA in 1993 at its Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA to head up public relations and education after a thirteen year career as a School Director and National Education Director for Branell College, a school system serving ten campuses throughout the U.S.  During her nineteen years at CIA, Meadows' level of responsibility increased substantially to include overall direction of CIA's corporate image through all forms of media including advertising, collateral materials, and trade show management. Meadows' many talents were also soon realized as she took over management of CIA's Hotline operations, which grew from five employees in 1993 to its current staff of 22 employees, providing after-hours support and dedicated call center services to as many as 37 of CIA's client partners. Meadows also monitors CIA's adjuster training programs as well as the supervision of three departments within HO.  Meadows was promoted to her most recent position of Vice President in 1997, and has been a member of CIA’s Board of Directors since 2009.

Belinda Clay – SVP and Controller.  Clay also began her career at CIA's Corporate Headquarters in 1993, just two years out of business school, when she was hired as a data entry clerk. Clay's diligence and hard work were quickly recognized as she progressed from one level to another within CIA's Accounting Department. Clay's predecessor, Pam State (retired Controller and Executive VP), recognized Clay's potential and promoted her to various positions of increasing responsibilities including Accounting Supervisor, Assistant Controller, and in 2007 as Vice President and Controller, succeeding State. With a high aptitude for technology, Clay has also been instrumental in the management of the accounting and scanning software applications that are utilized in CIA's Accounting Department today. In addition to overseeing the company's financial operations, Clay holds the position of CIA’s Secretary / Treasurer and is a member of its Board of Directors.

Cheryl Sooter – SVP and Director of Transportation Business Development.  Prior to joining CIA, Sooter worked in Texas for Crawford and Company as an adjuster and later for Cunningham Lindsey where she rose to become Regional Manager supervising twelve claims offices.  She was hired in 2001 by CIA as the District Marketing Manager in Dallas covering the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma. In February, 2008 Sooter was promoted to her current position of Director, Transportation Business Development.  Sooter's primary responsibility is to coordinate the Sales and Marketing of CIA's entire book of transportation business.  "This is her true calling and she is the face of CIA to so many of our trucking clients", stated Rick Linville, CIA President.  Sooter serves on the Board of Governors and the Board of Directors for the National Private Truck Council, on safety committees of Truckload Carriers Association and is the Allied Safety Board President for the American Trucking Association.
