Gary Thomas to Oversee CIA Safety & Risk Division

Atlanta, GA - February 15, 2008 - Custard Insurance Adjusters is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with transportation safety professional, Gary D. Thomas, who will oversee CIA's new Safety & Risk Division.

With over 44 years of experience in the trucking industry, primarily in a Director of Safety capacity, Thomas is nationally recognized for his knowledge and accomplishments in the area of transportation safety.  He holds a Master Certificate in Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, National Certifications in Fleet Safety (CFS) and Safety Director (CDS), is a Certified Safety & Compliance Instructor and a Breath-Alcohol Technical Instructor.

Thomas has completed many other industry related development courses, and has held many officer positions in many state and national Safety Councils and Trucking Associations.  He has earned the National Safety Director of the Year (American Trucking Association-ATA), four ATA President's Trophies which are awarded to the Motor Carrier Judged to have the most complete and most effective safety program in America, and ATA's Executive Director's Award in recognition of exemplary leadership to the ATA Safety Management Council.

Initially Thomas and the CIA Transportation Safety Team will target small to mid sized motor carriers to assist them with compliance audits, safety and loss prevention measures/programs, training and certification, wellness and injury prevention, accident investigation (immediate response programs), and many other issues currently facing the Motor Carrier Industry.
