Custard Announces Key Executive Promotions
Atlanta, GA - January 31, 2007 - Custard Insurance Adjusters, Inc. continues to strengthen its executive management team with the announcement of two well deserved promotions; Robert Soby as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, and Rick Linville as President. While these two gentlemen have led CIA in most facets of operations and sales for some time, the announcement of their promotions came earlier this month.
Robert Soby joined CIA in 1999 as an Executive Vice President with responsibilities to include the administration of the company’s Home Office, while working closely with the President in the general management of Custard Insurance Adjusters.
Over the past eight years, Soby's knowledge, integrity, consistent leadership and success in overseeing the overall operations of CIA has proven him to be the obvious choice by the Board of Directors for this position.
With over 35 years of experience, Robert Soby has been involved in the insurance industry since 1967 with a career history that blends both technical and administrative experience at many levels. He came to CIA from a position as Vice President of Claims / Operational Finance with a division of Allmerica Financial Corporation where he was responsible for the management of the claims process for program accounts written through Hanover Insurance Company and AFC's
Bermuda captive. In this role he was also responsible for the day to day financial operations including budgeting, billing and financial reporting. Other facets of his background include experience in staffing, quality control and customer service.
Rick Linville, who joined Custard Insurance Adjusters in 1982, most recently served as Senior Vice President and Director of National Sales and Marketing. Throughout his 25 year career at CIA, Linville has been a significant force in the company's growth and role in the industry over the years. He has held a variety of positions at CIA starting in
Indiana as an adjuster. One year later he was promoted to Branch Manager of Custard's Terre Haute, Indiana office followed by branch management positions in Louisville, New Albany and Evansville, Indiana. In 1988, Linville relocated to the company's Corporate Headquarters where his responsibilities included heading up sales for the Atlanta area while assisting with the restructuring of various Custard offices in the Midwest and
Western United States. He was soon promoted to Regional Manager for North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, where he successfully managed all aspects of the region until his promotion in 2002 to Director of Sales and National Marketing. In addition, Linville has been very actively involved in both regional and national associations and is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Atlanta Claims Association.
