CIA Announces Sale of Canadian Operations
Atlanta, GA - June 14, 2005- Custard Insurance Adjusters
announced today the sale of its Canada Operations (Custard Insurance
Adjusters, Canada) to Shumka Craig Moore Adjusters Canada Ltd. (SCM).
Shumka is one of the three largest independent adjusting firms,
with sixty branches in Canada from coast to coast.
Executive Vice President, Bob Soby stated, "While we are disappointed
to be losing some very fine, dedicated and successful employees,
we are pleased that they have become part of an organization with
an excellent reputation and believe they will be a vital part of
the future success of SCM."
Soby further states, "It has become apparent that there are
significant growth opportunities for both companies in developing
a close relationship...a North American Alliance. We have already
seen situations where we have responded to clients who conduct business
in both countries and therefore require a support system in that
would span both Canada and the United States. Marketing strategies
are already underway toward such an endeavor. We expect a bright
future for both companies."
